Rarigrey

'Ey, 'bout time I put something of Rarity up. Here's Rarity from the slightly-militarised-Equestria (really need to find a name for that) AU I'm working on + what if more realish horse-marks. It's pushed the Wheelverse on the backburner for now. In this AU, Rarity is not a dressmaker, but a jeweller. She has good trade in enchanted necklaces, badges, bracelets etc, mostly with simple protection charms (seriously, darling, she would love to offer more complex spells but alas, her calling lies in finding and fitting the gems and not in fancy spellwork). She also branches out to armour when she's feeling very inspired, although those are almost always commission pieces.

Anyway, Rarity is quite clearly a dapple grey. Greying is common in most breeds of horse and it looks great on every single one. Rarity would of course be one of those greys who whitens out rapidly, and looks almost white. Really I should have given her a dark nose and dark around her eyes but ~cartoon liberties~ and all that.

The blue-purple in her mane (the non-gradient one) is actually... remarkably similar to Princess Luna's first return/underpowered coat (and now mane outline). Hmm. Subtle link due to them sharing Tabitha as a voice actress? I mean they already seem to share their eye make-up so why not.
